Treatment Method:

• short Hot Tub Bath or Shower followed by Cold Douche at 21-15°C 20-40 seconds, light pressure
• hot Leg Bath 41-46°C or Very Hot Sitz
• Ice Collar over carotids, Cephalic Compress, or continuous Cooling Coil
• Protected Wet Girdle or Heating Wet Sheet Pack

• Antiphlogistic:
  • Enema .5 - 1 litre 21°C
    • Neutral Tub Bath 33-34°C, 30-60 min with rubbing, to prevent chilling and keep surface vessels dilated, with
      • Evaporating Compress or Cold Compress to head.
  • Also reduces temperature or
  • neutral Wet Sheet Pack 30 min followed by Scotch Douche to feet and legs then patient to bed with
    • Abdominal Heating Compress and Evaporating Compress to head
