General Method:
In Early stages: surface is red and the inflammation extending:
- Cooling measures change every 3-5 min as it becomes warm
 - Cold Mitten Friction or Cold Towel Rub every 3 hours
 - Fomentations, not too hot, every 1-2 hours to prevent depression
 
When parts become dull red and not extending:
- Heating Compress changed 15-30 min, and longer as fever subsides
 
Pathological Problems:
- Local Skin Inflammation
 
Clinical Problems:
- Production Fever
 - Chills
 - Vomiting
 - Pericarditis with Cardiac Inflammation and Cardiac Pain
 - Myocarditis
 - Swollen Painful Joints and other symptoms of Rheumatic Fever
 - Albuminuria in Acute Nephritis
 - Delirium

If persists:
- UV by S-1 sun lamp, 6min at 50cm BD for 3 days
 
In deep or meningeal cases: strong Derivative
- Hot Hip and Leg Pack with continuous Ice Bag over affected part
 
Migratory erysipelas (on trunk or limbs not face or neck):
- very hot Fomentations or
 - Alternating Applications
